Sometimes I get certain phrases or quotes stuck in my head, and for some reason I had "SORRY, NOT INTERESTED" rattling around my brain for weeks as every second conscious thought. I kept answering every question asked, with it, and within days all my friends had started using it too, so I figured it could be a pretty good hook, and wrote the song around it. I also remembered no one had ripped off "United states of Whatever" (or even thought about that trainwreck of a song) in about 10 years, so I combined it with that. - Luke Shaw
